REALTOR® is a federally registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics that can be viewed here: pdf 2020 Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice (797 KB) All real estate licensees are not REALTORS®.
ALL REALTORS® MUST take continuing ethics training every three (3) years.
The training was put into place in order to create an awareness and appreciation for the role that Code can and should play in their professional lives; to enhance professionalism and competency; and to encourage REALTORS® to view their Code of Ethics as living, viable guide in their daily dealings with clients.
