Committees
Circle of Excellence Awards Verification Committee: Reviews all New Jersey Association of REALTORS ® Circle of Excellence Award applications for compliance with the rules and regulations of the awards program.
Diversity & Inclusion Work Group: Works to foster an intentional mindset of inclusion by creating a welcoming environment across the Association's initiatives. This includes developing education, programs, and events to facilitate an understanding of diversity, inclusion, and fair housing topics. The group will also identify ways to broaden diversity of leadership.
Grievance Committee: Reviews written ethics complaints and arbitration requests to determine if they meet the requirements be forwarded for a hearing as outlined in the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. (Must have minimum three years REALTOR® experience)
Legislative / RPAC Committee: Monitors municipal and county government policies and actions affecting real estate in Burlington, Camden and Ocean Counties. Encourages member involvement when needed. Works to meet or exceed NEXUS’ annual RPAC goals as set by New Jersey Association of REALTORS®.
Mediators / Ombudsman: Assists in the settlement of an arbitration request or ethics complaint prior to a formal hearing. Services are provided by telephone. (Must have and maintain a Certificate of Completion of Mediation Training by New Jersey REALTORS® or the National Association of REALTORS®)
Professional Standards Committee: Conducts hearings in accordance and compliance with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. (Minimum two years’ experience on Grievance Committee required.) Mediators / Ombudsman assist in the settlement of an arbitration request or ethics complaint prior to a formal hearing. Prerequisite – members are required to have a Certificate of Completion of Mediation Training by New Jersey REALTORS® or NAR® Meets as needed
REALTOR® Community Service: Provides meaningful programs to enhance the quality of life in the area. Selects, plans, and implements community service projects such as collections for food, pantries, and school supplies. Holds fundraisers for various charities including REALTORS® Care Day.
Young Professionals Network (YPN): Open to all members. You may be well established in your local market or a rookie with big dreams. If you are a REALTORS® or affiliate member and care about your direction; want to develop and use your leadership skills; and connect with others who can help you along the way, join YPN today. Our YPN supports other NEXUS committee efforts including community service projects and events. We develop / hosts up to three networking and education events per year for new, young in the business and “young at heart” members.
